In 2026, I'll be completing a three run challenge, between April-June. This will consist of:

12th April - Brighton Marathon

24th May - Edinburgh Marathon

13th June - Cotswold Way 100km continuous Ultramarathon (the finale)

I'm doing this for a couple of reasons... Firstly, and perhaps selfishly, I want to see how far I can push myself and test both my physical and mental endurance. I've been assured on multiple occasions that the 100km ultramarathon distance is a "different beast" to anything I've done before, so I'm sure you can expect there to be plenty of pictures of me in tears along the way.

If the thought of me crying whilst I question my life decisions isn't a good enough reason for you to donate, the second reason below is by far a better one...

I've decided to put my pain to some good by completing this challenge on behalf of Restore Counselling, Training and Related Services. Restore works on offering counselling and psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples and parents. As someone who is fortunate enough to have benefitted from therapy in the past, I can personally vouch for the important role it plays in supporting people through the challenges, burdens and curveballs life throws at us.

However, providing this level of support has its own challenges... Restore have a bursary fund in order to make therapy affordable and accessible to all, and relies on fundraising and the generosity of individuals in order to keep the bursary fund going. With increased cost of living and people feeling financial pressure, the demand for bursary support has become significant.

If you are able, then any donations you make will have a profound impact with helping Restore provide this essential support.

Of course, I will do my bit to make donating that little bit more enticing. Between now and the finale, I will look to complete adhoc challenges (set by you!), think up creative fundraising events. And if those don't work... Beg!
