ABOUT DANDELION TIME
Dandelion Time transforms the lives of vulnerable and traumatised children and families across Kent through therapeutic, nature-based support programmes. Their unique family-centred approach helps children build confidence, strengthen relationships and develop the skills and aspirations needed for a brighter future.
The charity works with children aged 6-13, providing practical, hands-on support through family programmes, school partnerships and therapeutic activities in a safe outdoor environment. In 2024-25, Dandelion Time supported 215 children and families, delivered 150 family support programme places, worked with 24 schools in Gravesham, 19 schools in Ashford, and maintained 22 school partnerships across the region.
The impact of this work is significant. Among children who took part in Dandelion Time programmes:
- 83% felt better about themselves
- 83% felt more confident
- 77% felt they could cope better when things go wrong
- 75% felt their relationships had improved
Parents and carers also reported positive improvements in their own wellbeing after attending the programme, helping families build stronger relationships and more positive futures together.
Every donation from this challenge will help Dandelion Time continue delivering life-changing support to children and families who need it most.
