Help Reopen the local Idia's Community Kitchen
Help restore a vital Hackney kitchen feeding 900+ vulnerable people every week
Sobre esta Oportunidades para doações
Just 15 minutes from Old Street, Idia's Community Kitchen has been a lifeline for people facing homelessness, hunger, hardship and isolation across Hackney for the past seven years.
Founded in memory of Aina's daughter, the charity rescues surplus food, prepares nutritious meals and provides vital outreach support to more than 900 vulnerable people every week.
Today, that lifeline has been cut short.
The kitchen has been forced to close due to urgent repair and health and safety issues, preventing volunteers from preparing and distributing food to those who need it most.
The charity urgently needs to raise £8,500 to complete essential refurbishment works, restore safe operations and reopen its doors.
Every pound donated will help: • Repair and refurbish the kitchen • Upgrade essential equipment • Meet health and safety standards • Restore meals and food parcels for local people in need
Please support this appeal with a donation. If you are unable to give, sharing the campaign with colleagues, friends and family would also make a meaningful difference.
Together, we can help turn the cookers back on and restore a vital service to the Hackney community.
