Magen David Adom is Israel's national rescue organization, faithfully serving the country's population by adhering to the principals which derive from the subline value of "|saving a single soul in Israel". These include providing first aid and emergency medicine, training activities to the public at large, collecting blood donations and undertaking humanitarian activities for the community.
Magen David Adom in Israel was Established in 1930.
MDA is a national organization, and works in cooperation with other emergency and security authorities (Israeli police, IDF, Fire fighters etc.)
MDA's objectives and its legal status are defined in section 3 of the Magen David Adom Law passed by the Knesset (Israel's Parliament) on July 12, 1950:
