My Grandad sadly passed away at The Hospice in the Weald on the 27th June after being cared for by the amazing staff and volunteers for 7 weeks and 2 days. Grandad was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of Thyroid cancer at the end of 2022. The Hospice require £8 million a year in order to run the incredible service that they offer. Without them, we would never have had as much time with my Grandad as we did.

I will be partaking in a 10 mile walk along the River Thames on Friday 8th September in order to raise money for this amazing cause. I first planned this walk when Grandad was still alive, there was nothing that put a smile on his face more than knowing how much i had raised and how much it was going to help people like him.
