Imagine having to make plans to save your speech and unique voice for future use. Well sadly that's the reality my sister-in-law Kiara (41) and brother-in-law Liam (47) are facing.

On October 26th I'm taking part in the Dublin City Marathon 2025 and raising funds for Ataxia Foundation Ireland.

Friedreich’s Ataxia is a rare genetic disorder that has profoundly impacted the lives of Kiara and Liam both wheelchair users since their teens. However, 2025 brings hope.

Ataxia Foundation Ireland is making strides by partnering with Speak Unique to offer voice banking to every individual with ataxia in Ireland. Additionally, efforts are underway to ensure the groundbreaking drug Skyclarys becomes accessible to those affected by Friedreich's Ataxia in Ireland.

Your generous donation will go directly to AFI, supporting their vital work and efforts to improve the lives of those with ataxia.
