About this Giving Opportunity

The Royal Marsden has given my family a gift I could never have wished for more deeply: precious extra time with my mum. Without their research, treatments, and incredible support, we would not have been able to share these last five years with her.

As this will be our final year receiving support from the Marsden, this walk holds an especially emotional and meaningful place in our hearts. My family and I will be taking part in the 5 mile Banham Marsden March to support this amazing charity. 

When someone you love is vulnerable and facing an illness like cancer, you want nothing more than the very best care for them. The Royal Marsden has provided exceptional support filled with compassion and empathy—from a 24-hour hotline that has guided us through difficult moments, to free group therapy sessions for both patients and their loved ones.

Having experienced firsthand the extraordinary care this charity provides, I am proud to be volunteering and walking this march. It’s my way of honouring what they have done for my mum and helping to ensure that other families receive the same life-changing support and ongoing research.
